Knowing the effects of aging, what are steps one can take physically, mentally, etc. to help dealing with aging?

Accept the fact that everyone has their turn at being young. You can adapt to aging and enjoy each stage of your life. Life is short, so live each day the fullest. Take the bad days and throw them aside. The physcial and mental changes that occur are a natural thing. Exercise, socialize with all age groups, watch movies, go to the beach, go for a drive and look at the scenery. There is so much to do. Just let life happen. There is plastic surgery for you too. Have Fun!

Honestly, I love aging, I feel even more secure of myself. Just be happy.

I think we each deal with it in our own way.
Me: I try to keep busy mentally and physically. Some older people are not physically able to do this, however. I understand that. I also like to help others. If I find others far worse off than I am–I don’t feel so bad. lol
Try to not think about it. (Easier said than done, I know)
How old are you?? Are you relatively young? And worrying now???
Older? Keep those body parts moving. Bend over and touch the floor. Exercise helps keep us young and feeling better.

There is so much to be gained in ageing.
As in all of life, you must give up something in order to gain something, so the balance can be the toughest thing to recognize.
You may lose some physical stamina but gain an appreciation for savoring experiences.
Your body may begin to ache, but it also learns to relax and you will find new pleasure in it as it mellows and is capable of things it couldn’t do when younger because you were so impatient.
You will find many changes in your perceptions of life. You stop being as concerned about physical appearance and learn to accept and appreciate diversity in appearance.
As I age, I find physical pain is the only “down” side to it. I have found ways to adjust to lower energy levels and body shape shifting.
In the end, this is a perfect plan. If we were beautiful, energetic and full of the drive to thrive that younger people possess, we would never leave! As I age I find the concept of rest at the end of this life looks very attractive. I am not ready to go yet, but as my body slowly stops working as well as it did, as I find more acceptance in the processes that are taking place, and as I get nearer the end of the check list of things that I needed to accomplish, I find the idea of passing is not so bad and age is simply part of the package.

Besides, what can you do about it? Surgery, meds, vitamins, exercises, etc, will only go so far. You will still age. You can’t hide it, run from it, or deal your way out of it. So eventually, to save yourself from going nuts, you will have to accept it.
